At the heart of the story is a rural schoolteacher who, in 1944, leaves his native Bessarabia as the Red Army advances with heavy fighting. The gentle, cultured Sebastian Radu has every reason to avoid meeting the so-called liberators. And not just because one of the new regime’s first measures will be a background check, and Radu will have to write “noble” in the “social origin” field. The film takes place in Karabakh, where Baku students come to help build a settlement for refugees. Among them are two young lovers, Tural and Gunel. One night, they witness a failed sabotage attempt by Armenian militants, which Tural manages to record on his video camera. The footage shows explosions, armed extremists, and an unmarked helicopter, becoming key evidence. Realizing this, the enemies decide to eliminate the unwanted witness.

Five fishermen live on an island. Their ordinary life start to change with the unknown disappearance of one of them. Also a wolf comes to the island. The wolf tries to open his own living space. These happenings cause a growing tension between friends.
